‘Sad feeling’ despite Conte’s return, leaving Tottenham after this season

It’s a ‘sad’ comeback. Tottenham manager Antonio Conte returned on the 5th local time.

However, time was running out at Tottenham. Britain’s ‘Daily Mail’ reported on the day that ‘Conte returns to London today amid growing prospects that he will leave Tottenham before next season.’

Coach Conte sits on the bench from the second leg of the European Champions League (UCL) Round of 16 against AC Milan, Italy, which will be held at home on the 9th (hereinafter Korean time). Tottenham, who lost 0-1 in the first leg, must win the second leg by more than two goals to advance to the quarterfinals.

But the atmosphere is also not good. He underwent cholecystitis removal surgery on the 1st of last month, and hurriedly returned after 10 days. However, after the first game against AC Milan, he was told that he needed ‘absolute stability’ and stayed in his home country, Italy, to recover.

Tottenham went well while manager Conte was away, but crashed in the last two games. In the FA Cup, a shock defeat to Sheffield United, the second division league, prevented them from advancing to the quarterfinals, and in the English Premier League (EPL), their streak was blocked by Wolverhampton, and the ‘Big 4’ became a thorny field.

Conte’s contract with Tottenham expires at the end of this season. Tottenham may exercise a one-year extension option, but the airflow is currently not being captured. 위너 토토

Director Conte also has no intention. He’s had a tough time personally this season. Gian Piero Ventrone, who had been assisting him for a long time, passed away last October during the season. He also sent Sinisa Mihailović and Gianluca Vialli, who were his teammates and close friends during his active career, to the sky.

Conte is living a ‘goose life’ in London. It is said that Conte wants to go back to Italy where his family is after this season because of his health problems.

It has been a long time since names such as Mauricio Pochettino, who led Tottenham as manager Conte’s successor, appeared. Of course, the road may change depending on the results of the remaining two competitions, UCL and EPL. But for now, signs of a breakup are strong.
